The New York State Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) establishes the right of the public to obtain information from agencies of New York State government and its local entities, including the town of Webster. According to FOIL, "government is the public's business and the public, individually and collectively...should have access to the records of government". FOIL is intended to give them that access. New York State's Committee on Open Government, provides an overview of our state's Open Government Laws here. For those interested in obtaining records from the town of Webster, you may use the form available at the bottom of this page (click the link to download and print the form).
